England is in a cricketing ferment. A sports shop in Derby has sold every bat in stock. Last Sunday a five-a-side soccer tournament was stopped so that the players could watch the finish of the Test match. Somerset's victorious 20-overs team was invited to parade its trophy around the streets of Taunton. Old Trafford is a sell-out.
